ملخص: This study examined the level of using advanced professional methods and their relationship to the professional performance of social workers in the northern West Bank. The descriptive correlational approach was used. The study population included all social workers in the region (N = 1,862), and a purposive sample of 353 social workers was selected. A questionnaire served as the primary data collection tool. The results showed a high level of use of advanced professional methods, with a mean of (4.14) and a percentage score of (82.8%). The level of professional performance was also high, with a mean of (4.36) and a percentage score of (87.2%). No statistically significant differences were found by gender in either variable, except for a slight advantage among males in evidence-based assessment. Also, no differences appeared in professional performance by gender. However, age differences were found, favoring younger social workers in areas related to technology use, modern guidance methods, continuous professional development, and evidence-based assessment. In terms of performance, workers aged 35–45 scored higher in adherence to ethical standards. Regarding academic qualification, no differences appeared in the level of use, while those holding a master’s degree or higher scored better in ethics, problem-solving, and decision-making. Social workers with more than 11 years of experience excelled in service delivery efficiency and building professional relationships. No differences were found by the work sector. The analysis revealed a positive correlation between the use of advanced professional methods and professional performance, suggesting that promoting modern practices contributes to improving the overall quality and effectiveness of social work services. The study recommended strengthening continuous training, especially in collaborative work, modern guidance methods, and evidence-based practice, as well as expanding programs that support the integration of digital technologies in social work. It also emphasized enhancing cooperation between universities and the Ministry of Social Development to update social work curricula in line with global professional.
