Abstract: | Technological awareness was one of the essential elements in the modern work environment, particularly in the healthcare sector, as it enhanced employee efficiency and increased job satisfaction. This study, which was conducted at Beit Jala Governmental Hospital, aimed to explore the role of technological awareness as a mediating factor in the relationship between career path planning and employee satisfaction. Career path planning was a strategic process designed to identify professional goals and develop plans to achieve them, thereby helping employees improve their performance and satisfaction. The researcher adopted the descriptive-analytical methodology due to its suitability for collecting data and achieving the study's objectives. The research population consisted of employees with administrative supervisory allowances and other administrative staff, with a total sample size of 115 employees. Comprehensive surveys containing 50 items were distributed among them. After data collection, the data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The findings revealed that the level of career path planning at Beit Jala Governmental Hospital had been high across all dimensions, with an overall percentage of 75.4%. Employee satisfaction at the hospital had been high in the first, third, and fourth dimensions, and moderate in the second, with an overall percentage of 72.4%. Furthermore, the level of technological awareness at the hospital had been high across all dimensions, with an overall percentage of 80.0%. However, the results indicated that technological awareness did not play a mediating role in the relationship between career path planning and employee satisfaction. The study recommended enhancing the culture of planning through guidance programs and practical support to enable employees to develop clear plans for achieving their professional goals, thus improving performance and job satisfaction. It also emphasized the importance of continuous participation in exchanging experiences on the use of modern technologies with specialized colleagues, as well as organizing internal training sessions or workshops to address technical challenges efficiently and improve work performance at the hospital. |
