Abstract: | The current study aimed to explore the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between design thinking and organizational effectiveness in the Palestinian Ministry of Transport and Communications. To achieve the study's objective, the researcher adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing a questionnaire as the main tool for data collection from the study population, which consisted of 200 employees. The questionnaire was distributed electronically to a simple random sample, resulting in 123 responses, of which 115 were valid for statistical analysis after excluding 8 cases as outliers. To answer the study questions and test its hypotheses, the researcher used the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and the advanced statistical analysis program SmartPLS 4. The results indicated that the level of design thinking and job satisfaction in the ministry was moderate, while the level of organizational effectiveness was high. The findings also confirmed a statistically significant positive impact of design thinking on both organizational effectiveness and job satisfaction and showed that job satisfaction positively affects organizational effectiveness. Furthermore, it was found that job satisfaction partially mediates the effect of design thinking on organizational effectiveness in the Palestinian Ministry of Transport and Communications. The study recommended promoting a culture of shared decision-making across all levels of the ministry by encouraging employees to express their opinions and participate in decision-making processes. It also emphasized the importance of developing clear and realistic visions and goals aligned with the ministry's strategy. |
