Abstract: | The study aimed to identify specialized media training in media institutions and its impact on the content industry for its employees. The researcher qualitatively analyzes the data based on the descriptive survey approach. A questionnaire is used to examine the employees’ perception of the specialized training has been refereed to ensure its validity. 128 employees who are the actual workers in three media organizations; (Al-Ayyam newspaper, Al-Hurriya Radio, and Ma’an Media Networkb) has been selected to participate in this study. Although the study targeted all workers in filling up the questionnaire, only (114) questionnaires are analyzable The study concludes that media training within institutions serves the work by 73.1%. The employees also reveals that the training enable them to recognize the modern media devices and equipment in the field of digital media, and to witness developments in the field of content industry. Most of those journalists in the targeted institutions received training that is focused in the field of websites. These trainings aim at increasing personal capabilities and increasing the skills of the Internet and new media. The study shows that and the most Palestinian media professionals need courses in writing media content, and the methods that they prefer is that allows actual practice of using technical devices in the field of content industry in their organizations. The results also show that most journalists need trainings in content industry in a high degree. The factors that control the training is the workers’ need to develop their media expertise, and their need to practice a variety of media content that creates digital identity industry. The paper also shows that the training programs helps to achieve the objectives of the institution in a high degree because it allows to produce good media content that competes other media institutions, simultaneously; that develops the digital media content industry and workers’ skills in various fields of media. There are many obstacles facing the training process, mainly; the failure to involve the trainees in determining their needs, the lack of balance between training content and the time allotted for training, the focus of the theoretical aspect of training rather than the practice, and the institution's lack of interest and support for training. |
