Title: The Leadership Roles of Government School Principals in Light of the Requirements of Change Management and its Relationship to Administrative Creativity from the Point of View of Supervisors and Teachers in the Northern Governorates

Abstract: The study aimed to identify the leadership roles of government school principals in light of the requirements of change management and its relationship to administrative creativity from the point of view of supervisors and teachers in the northern governorates, according to the variables: gender, academic qualification, years of experience, job title, and the directorate. To achieve this, the researcher used the descriptive (mixed) quantitative and qualitative approach to collect data. A questionnaire distributed on teachers and the supervisors answered the interview. A total of (490) male and female, (399) teachers and (91) supervisors surveyed. As indicated by the results of the study, the leadership roles of government school principals in the light of requirements of change management was high on the total score as well as in each of its five dimensions. Based on the interview results, it was found that public school principals encourage teachers by making initiatives that depend on new ideas. The overall score for administrative creativity level was high, based on the interview results, it was found that principals of public schools are committed to study the team of teachers' new ideas to develop educational activities. The results confirmed that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α<.05) between the averages of the leadership roles of government school principals in light of the requirements of change management in public schools in the Northern Governorates, due to the variables of gender, academic qualification, years of service, job title and the directorate. Furthermore, the study showed that there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α<.05) between the average of administrative creativity in public schools in the northern governorates due to the variables: gender, academic qualification, years of service, and the directorate. The study also indicated a statistically significant correlation between the leadership roles of government school principals in light of the requirements of change management and administrative creativity from the point of view of supervisors and teachers in the northern governorates. Based on the findings of this study, the researcher recommends the necessity for the need to enhance the practice of leadership roles among school principals by involving them in more training courses.
